Car Next Door was an Australian peer-to-peer car-sharing platform, launched in Sydney in 2012, that let people rent privately owned cars by the hour or day. Uber acquired it in January 2022 and rebranded it Uber Carshare in November 2022, and Uber shut the service down on 12 September 2024, so the business no longer operates.
