MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group is Europe's largest consumer electronics retailer, operating the MediaMarkt, Saturn and (in Italy) MediaWorld store brands plus Deutsche Technikberatung services. Headquartered in Ingolstadt, Germany, it runs roughly 1,070 stores across 11 European countries with about 50,000 employees, and is the operating group of listed parent Ceconomy AG in Düsseldorf. Ceconomy reported FY2024/25 sales of EUR 23.1 billion (up 5.7%) and, in the first nine months of FY2025/26, sales of EUR 18.4 billion with online growing 18.3% year-on-year in Q3. Remko Rijnders became CEO on 1 July 2026. China's JD.com secured a controlling shareholding in Ceconomy in late 2025, but as of late August 2026 closing was still pending an EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation in-depth review.
