Prisma Health is South Carolina's largest not-for-profit health organization and the state's largest private employer, headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina. In fiscal year 2025 it reported $7.4 billion in operating revenue, 33,296 team members, 20 acute-care and specialty hospitals across 14 campuses, 3,166 licensed beds and 490 physician practice sites. It was formed in November 2017 through the merger of Palmetto Health (Midlands) and Greenville Health System (Upstate), and expanded outside South Carolina for the first time when Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, Tennessee joined in December 2024. It operates the clinically integrated inVio Health Network and is a major academic health system with 54 residency and fellowship programs and more than 2,200 active research studies.
