Sentara Health is a not-for-profit integrated healthcare delivery system based in Norfolk, Virginia, serving Virginia, northeastern North Carolina and Florida. It operates 12 acute care hospitals with roughly 2,650 beds, more than 400 sites of care, and Sentara Medical Group with over 2,000 physicians and advanced practice providers. Its insurance arm, Sentara Health Plans, covers nearly one million commercial, Medicaid and Medicare members. The system reported $14.2 billion in operating revenue in 2025 and employs more than 34,700 people.
