Volunteers of America-Greater New York is an anti-poverty nonprofit and the largest affiliate of the national Volunteers of America, running more than 80 programs across New York City, Westchester and Nassau counties and Northern New Jersey. It provides supportive housing, health and social services to families experiencing homelessness, veterans, domestic-violence survivors, older adults and children with developmental delays, and founded Operation Backpack.
