Responsibilities
• Design and maintain automated QA tests covering data pipelines and downstream data products
• Run functional, regression, and sanity tests across applications and analytical dashboards
• Verify data flow integrity through ingestion, transformation, and reporting stages
• Perform data quality checks for completeness, consistency, and schema conformance
• Author SQL queries to validate business logic, joins, aggregations, and surface anomalies
• Develop validation frameworks and automation scripts using Python
• Partner with Data Engineering and BI teams to define test scope and acceptance criteria
• Investigate failures, identify root causes, and produce clear, actionable bug reports
• Maintain thorough test documentation and manage issue tracking in Jira
• Continuously improve QA monitoring practices to accelerate release velocity
