LCS is a Des Moines, Iowa-based senior living company founded in 1971 that develops, owns and manages senior living and life plan communities across the United States. After closing its acquisition of the luxury operator Vi in May 2026, it manages about 130 communities in 29 states with roughly 27,000 employees serving more than 45,000 residents. Chris Bird has been president and CEO since January 2025.
