LCS (Life Care Services) is a senior living operator headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, founded in 1971, that develops, manages and owns independent living, assisted living, memory care and life plan communities. After closing its acquisition of Chicago-based luxury operator Vi in 2026, it manages about 130 communities in 29 states with 27,000 employees serving 45,000 residents. President and CEO Chris Bird has led the company since January 2025.
