J.Crew Group is an American omnichannel apparel retailer headquartered at 225 Liberty Street in New York City. The group operates three brands — J.Crew, J.Crew Factory and Madewell — across more than 100 J.Crew stores, over 330 J.Crew Factory stores and more than 150 Madewell stores in the United States, plus e-commerce and catalog channels. Founded in 1983, the company was taken private in a 2011 leveraged buyout, filed for Chapter 11 in 2020 and emerged under the ownership of its lenders, with Anchorage Capital Group holding majority control. Libby Wadle has been CEO since November 2020. Technology roles cover e-commerce and digital storefront engineering, omnichannel/order management systems, merchandising and supply chain analytics, data platforms and retail IT.
