AVEVA is a British multinational industrial software company headquartered in Cambridge, UK, and a wholly owned member of the Schneider Electric group since January 2023. Its portfolio spans engineering and design (AVEVA E3D Design, Unified Engineering), operations and control (System Platform, InTouch HMI, SCADA, MES), asset performance management, simulation, and industrial data infrastructure (the AVEVA PI System, acquired with OSIsoft). Its CONNECT platform is an open industrial cloud that unifies engineering and operations data and layers industrial AI on top. The company traces its origins to the CADCentre, a UK government-funded computer-aided design research institute set up in Cambridge in 1967, privatised in 1983, floated on the LSE in 1996 and renamed AVEVA in 2001. It serves energy, chemicals, power and utilities, marine, mining, manufacturing, infrastructure and EPC customers with around 6,000 employees.
