Truist Financial Corporation is a US bank holding company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, offering consumer and small business banking, commercial and corporate banking, investment banking and capital markets, wealth management, payments and specialized lending. It was formed in December 2019 by the merger of BB&T and SunTrust, trades on the NYSE as TFC, had about $549 billion in assets as of March 2026 and employs around 40,000 people. Michael P. Lyons became president and CEO on 1 September 2026, succeeding Bill Rogers, who is now executive chair.
